The culture and history behind the coffee of Chiapas can be found in this museum. It promotes, trains and spreads the socioeconomic, historical and cultural importance of the production and consumption of this aromatic bean.
Through guided tours you will know the origin of coffee, its spreading around the world and its propagation in Mexico and Chiapas. You will identify a coffee tree’s main characteristics and its cultivation in the region. Furthermore, you will know the different transforming processes of supply chains, merchandizing and the steps for the enjoyment of an exquisite cup of coffee. The museum offers diverse workshops and laboratories for coffee cupping.
