It is a natural subsidence of the surface of the earth caused by the great filtration of water, this natural beauty is the most important of the state.
A 140-meter-deep, 160-meter-diameter subsidence that is the home of coutless parrots, ideal place to witness the arrival and departure of this species. There you can find vestiges of Zoque culture represented by cave paintings on its walls.

How to arrive
From Tuxtla Gutiérrez go westwards, to Ocozocoautla de Espinosa, and from there, take the road to Ocuilapa de Juárez; before you reach Ocuilapa, there is a junction that takes you to the town of Piedra Parada; at this junction, take the dirt road until The Parrots Chasm, 18 kilometers from there. There are signs along the highway that gives you directions.
